Welcome to Northwest Houston Surgical Association (NHSA). Our practice is made up of General and Bariatric surgeons, all of whom have specific expertise in advanced laparoscopic surgery.
Also known as “minimally invasive” surgery, laparoscopic surgery is performed without the typical long incision. By making several tiny incisions, surgeons use long, thin surgical instruments and tiny cameras to perform procedures. We perform a full range of laparoscopic surgeries, including weight loss, gallbladder, colorectal, endocrine, anti reflux, hernia and breast surgery. We also offer minimally invasive ultrasound-guided breast biopsies right in our office.
Our goal is to provide excellent, efficient care to our patients. We take pride in maintaining attentive bedside manner, keeping abreast of the most recent and beneficial surgical techniques and staying on the cutting edge of surgical care.

Dr. Subramanyam Ayyar
Dr. Ayyar has pioneered minimally invasive surgery in the West and Northwest Houston area and is an expert in parathyroid operations.
